Yurt Camping is Perfect for First-Time Campers
Technorati tags: yurt camping, camping tents, beginner camping
One of the biggest fears for prospective campers is shelter. If you forget your matches, or burn the beans, or left the lantern behind, you’ll still survive, especially if there’s a camp store. But where you rest your head at night - will it be too cold, too hot, or will the ground be too rocky? Will the tent protect them from rains, will it keep the wildlife out? Fears like that – real or imagined – can easily keep prospective campers from leaving their homes.
Well, it’s the 21st century, folks. Leave the camping tent at home. Many campgrounds come with move-in-ready tents. They are called yurts. You may feel like you are cheating a little but completely squish that unreasonable emotion and enjoy the comfort of a yurt.
When you check-in at the park office you will be given a lock combination code or key that will open the door of your yurt. Did you hear that? A door. Yes, a Yurt has a door. You open that door and you find furniture, simple appliances - some even come with linens and utensils.
Yurt camping is increasing in popularity with campers as well as with campgrounds. For campgrounds, yurts attract new families who may otherwise not camp. Yurt campers also tend to stay for longer periods of time, a full week or more. As a result, many state parks have started to bring yurts onto their sites.
How to find campgrounds that offer yurt camping? Go to Google and enter “yurt camping (your-state)”. It might just get you hooked to the joy of camping.

Hi there,
My names Kevin and i happened across your website www.joyofcamping.com. I found your posts really interesting. I also have a bit of a passion for the outdoors myself and really appreciate it when i come accross a site that is more than just a bunch of adsense. I'm looking for relevant link partners and I run a website called APEQS which is a blog about the newest and coolest outdoor equipment such as hiking gear, kayaking and rock climbing equipment. What i'm hoping to do is find sites that offer interesting articles on these particular categories and set up a link exchange as I know my readers would be very interested in visiting your site. If you would like to be a link partner with http://www.apeqs.com please respond to this email and i will place your link on the site with your requested anchor text.
PS: couldn't find your email address so i had to leave a comment.
Thanks
Kevin
