Top 10 National Parks

Did you really think there is an official list of Top 10 ? I did too. Until I started my research. There’s 10 Best National Parks for Families; Top Ten Winter National Parks; Top 10 Crowd-Free Parks, Top 10 National Forests for wildlife viewing…etc.

And if you think you can just be technical and go by visitor count, think again.

Considering the choices of national treasures to choose from, is the most visited, crowded, most commercialized really the #1 park to visit?

After researching epinions, Gorp, nps.gov, and other travel sites, here is my Top 10 list. It’s not a mistake, yes, there are 15 parks in my Top 10 list.National parks I told you it was very difficult.

  1. Glacier National Park, Montana
  2. Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
  3. Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
  4. Grand Teton, Wyoming
  5. Olympic, Washington
  6. Rocky Mountain, Colorado
  7. Acadia, Maine
  8. Yosemite, California
  9. Mt. Rainier, Southern Washington
  10. Sequoia & Kings Canyon, California
  11. Zion, Utah
  12. Mammoth Cave, Kentucky
  13. Denali, Alaska
  14. Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Ohio
  15. Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico

You can find details of any of these parks at the web site of the National Park Service: http://www.nps.gov/findapark/index.htm

For campground reservations, go to Recreation.gov.

Hi ,

I really love all the designs and wordings used in your sites.

The one about video, camping and all…very interesting.

I just joined Authoritysitecenter.com and just love to find out from you how long did you do up your joyofcamping.com or did you also request help from the professionals?

[…] Technorati tags: camp safety, bear attack, camping safety If you are camping in bear country - which includes many of our beautiful National Parks - you need to take some extra precautions. Bears have a tremendous sense of smell, and they are so strong they can rip out a car window or tear off a car door a lot easier than you might think. […]
